PRIVACY POLICY

Once again thank you very much for visiting Children's News Network. We hope you enjoy it.

To date we are humbled with the positive feedback from our viewers. We fully respect and protect the privacy of anyone who visits our site. It is our intent that our site be a safe place for everyone who visits and communicates with us. We are dedicated to protecting your privacy and any information we obtain from you with enormous care and respect. Our procedures are designed to comply with the United States Federal Trade Commission's Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (or "COPPA"). Obviously on the internet today there is no way to ensure 100% security. To better protect you and your children's privacy, we provide you our policy explaining our practices for collecting information so that you are able to make a more informed decision regarding the way your information is collected and used by Children's News Network, Inc.

Information Collected - It is mostly our intent to manage this website with minimal content provided by our viewers. However, at times our visitors may order products through us, enter contests, participate in an online forum, provide a news story (written or by audio/video), subscribe to a newsletter or otherwise interact with our site. Generally, we limit collection of information from viewers to what is known as non-personally identifiable information (e.g. online/screen name, first name, birthday, gender, state, zip code and country of residence). This information is collected so our viewers can participate in activities without giving personal or identifiable information. However, from time to time we may request limited personally identifiable information (e.g. an email address), as explained below, in order to conduct online contests or otherwise offer online activities. We never make it a requirement that someone provide unreasonable information to participate in an online event.

The only other use we make of personal information (usually names and email addresses) is to respond to questions and/or requests for information from a user.  We do not otherwise make use of personal information, nor do we provide it to third parties.

While you are using our website, we may also collect certain non-personally-identifiable information about you, such as the URL you just came from, the next URL you go, what browser you are using, the domain name of your Internet Service Provider, and your IP address.  We may also use "cookies", which are pieces of information that websites transfer to your computer's hard drive for record-keeping purposes and to track advertising served to you. Since we do not accept advertising the only cookies we use are the ones we eat when we are hungry.

In the event we offer online contests or the like we will publish a privacy policy specific to the contest or the like.
